……… It was a small house with a deep gate.

However, such houses were not uncommon in this area.

However, the forehead of "Genzuru Yamabo" and the garden trees seen through the wall were more elaborate than any other house.

The owner of this house, Horikoshi Genzuru, was also known to some extent as a painter.

However, the asset was created because it was patented with a rubber stamp.

Or it was because they bought and sold the estate after receiving the patent for the rubber stamp.

In fact, it seemed that even ginger couldn't be made on the ground in the suburbs that he had.

But now it has changed to a so-called "cultural village" with red tile houses and blue tile houses.

However, "Genzuru Yamabo" was a house with a deep gate, which was completed in a small corner.

Especially these days, the pine trees in anticipation are hung with a rope to protect them from snow, and the dead pine needles laid in front of the entrance are reddened with citrus fruits.

Not only that, the Yokomachi where this house is located was almost uncrowded.

When even the tofu shop passed there, the load was unloaded to the main street, and all I had to do was blow a whisper.

"Hooded Crane Yamabo-What is a hooded crane?"

A long-haired painter who happened to pass in front of this house said to another painter in the same rattail cactus uniform, with an elongated paint box aside.

"Somehow, it's not really strict."

They both laughed and casually passed in front of this house.

After that, a single "Golden Bat" butt, which one of them had thrown away on the frozen road, was just smoldering a faint blue streak of smoke.

Shigekichi worked for a bank before becoming the son-in-law of the hooded crane.

Therefore, I always came home when the lamp was on.

He has been inside the gate since the last few days, but he has felt a strange odor early on.

It was the smell of the hooded crane on the floor of pulmonary tuberculosis, which is rare for old people.

But, of course, there was no way that such a smell would come out of the house.

Shigekichi, holding a bag under the armpit of his winter cloak, walked on the stepping stone in front of the entrance and did not go to such a nerve-wracking trick.

The hooded crane laid the floor "away", and when it was not lying down, it was leaning on the mountain of night clothes.

When Shigekichi took off his cloak and hat, he always appeared at this "away" and used to say "just now" or "how is it today?"

However, he rarely entered the threshold of "separation".

It was partly because I was afraid of getting infected with pulmonary tuberculosis, and partly because I felt uncomfortable with the smell of my breath.

Hooded crane always answered "Oh" or "Welcome back" every time he saw his face.

The voice was also weak, closer to breath than the voice.

Shigekichi wasn't the only one who sometimes wanted to blame his inhumanity when he was told by him.

But it seemed creepy to him to go "away".

Then Shigekichi visited the mother-in-law bird who was also on the floor next to the living room.

Before the hooded crane fell asleep, the bird had become sick and unable to go to the toilet for 78 years.

The reason why Genzuru got her was that she was the daughter of an elder of a large feudal clan, and that she wanted to be dexterous.

Even though she was so old, her eyes were beautiful.

However, sitting on the floor and carefully repairing the white socks was not much different from a mummy.

Shigekichi also asked her, "Mom, how about today?"

He went into the six-mat tea room, leaving a short word.

My wife's bell was working in a small kitchen with a pine maid born in Shinshu, if she wasn't in the living room.

Not to mention the neatly tidy tea room, even the kitchen with the cultural pole was much closer to Shigekichi than the living room of the Kamado and mother-in-law.

He was the second son of a politician who once became governor.

However, he was a talented person who was closer to his mother who was an old female poet than his father with great skin.

It was also evident in his friendly eyes and sled.

When Shigekichi entered the tea room, he changed his clothes to Japanese clothes, sat comfortably in front of a long brazier, played a cheap cigar, and made fun of his only son, Takeo, who finally entered elementary school this year.
